check this....if you turn your needles like you turn your battle needles 23 degrees towards the right ( when your looking at them) do that and also use the weight that comes with the OM cartridge/ headshell set up. Put your height to as far ass you can on the tone arm and flip the weight backwards (numbers facing away) push it foward then slightly pull it back until you see that little gap. Set you anti-skip to zero and this will be a universal set up for all set up for clubs and battles....you cant go wrong....
TRUST ME!

Best with the PINK (Skratch), White (Elektro) & Blue (DJ) Needles.
Best Needle to use all around : Elektros

Best way to set up your WhOrtafon needles:

1. Get a hammer.

2. Get a big ass rock.

3. Smoke the big ass rock.

4. Take the hammer, bash the fuck out the Whortafon till its in a hundred pieces.

5. Build a fire.

6. Throw the broken bits of Whortafon needles into the fire.

7, Wait till fire is gone.

8. Take ashes of Whortafons, and throw them in the nearest river, lake and/or ocean, so none of the Skipping will curse you or any family members.

Even a crackhead like me knows that juggling jiggy shit is WACK!

the best way to set you Ortophon for DJing will probably be something like throw them in the trash and put-back your old M 44-7 back on your turntables!!!!!!

I bring Ortofons to every event I do...although they usually stay in my bag while I use the Shures.

Sometimes I play and practice with them, but I never let them touch records that I really care about-I'm sure you know why.

oh-and stop bitching about the best way to set up inferior needles.

How old are the needles?

Virtually all styli, when they're new, need a break-in period of about 15-20 hours before they track optimally.

Leaving the needle on the record overnight a couple times will help to break in the suspension, then you should notice a significant difference.
